In the not-so-distant past, I realized that the advertising industry was changing, and those who did not change their thinking about marketing would surely face challenges as consumer culture evolved. As a result, Cult Collective was born. Keep pace with me here, I’m going to make a similar case for cannabis culture.
Oh, and by the way, you still have the ability to enjoy success, even if your biggest achievement to date was not burning down your parents’ basement when you crashed there for a particularly dark three-year stint. The past is not a predictor of your future (hallelujah!). Don’t let someone you perceive as smarter than you make you feel like you don’t have what it takes to reach the top.
Good leaders should feel like they’re playing the part of grandparent. Maybe you’re an entrepreneur who has poured blood and sweat into the precarious start-up phase and can now appreciate the fruits of an established company. Summer speeds by, and now my own summer vacation is past tense. While on hiatus from the office, I tried to carve out quality time with family, decelerate and disconnect. I’ll thank psychologist,Shawn Achor, for promoting that statement — but I totally agree with him. I regularly like to remind my followers that the more you share, the more you receive, and so it’s logical that the more optimism you put into the world, the more good vibes you will get in return.
People who just talk, talk, talk without putting ideas into action are time suckers. They waste my time, your time, and their own time; they’re fixated on pipe dreams they have no intention of seeing through. The more they talk, the less I believe in them.
I am patient. And I am impatient. I am empathetic. And I am frustrated. I understand the challenges businesses face to keep pace with changing times. But I’m not crying, either, when I read the obituary of yet another company that has refused to even try.
